Where’s C-3PO?
Disney goes to great lengths to ensure that the employees who wear those giant costumes at the park are never seen with them off by the public. I can imagine it would be traumatic for a kid to see Goofy out by the dumpster smoking a Kool. So even though I’m well into adulthood it’s pretty weird to see this photo of the cast of Star Wars, circa 1977/78, hanging together in civvies. I’m sure once George Lucas gets his hands on this he’ll photoshop Hayden Christensen in it.

I’m sure you recognize Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). You can probably figure out which ones are R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew). The last one (next to Han) is Darth Vader himself, David Prowse. Sorry Anthony Daniels, you weren’t invited.
You get the feeling that David Prowse did his own clothes shopping back in the day?
