While you've all been consumed with trivial stuff like the Democratic Pennsylvania primary, climbing gas prices, or the little imbroglio over the Beijing Olympics, a pretty major milestone occurred right here on this site. Earlier this morning GFS welcomed its 10,000th visitor since I made the move from my old blog in February 2007. Sure it doesn't seem like all that much compared to really popular sites, but I'm continually amazed that anyone wants to read my drivel after all ... Read on, Daddy-O

A little housecleaning seems to be in order on the ol' site, especially since the sidebars are getting rather full.  So I took out a few things you probably won't miss anyway, and added one new feature - GFS Radio.  If your inter-webs browser is fully functional you should see it on the top of the right sidebar.  It's provided by last.fm and the playlist is comprised of songs that yours truly listens to.  Now I can be the tastemaker I always ... I just wanted to give a quick shoutout for the newest addition to the esteemed GFS blogroll - Popdose.  It takes the place (so far as I can tell) of the awesome jefitoblog, which sadly and unexpectedly vanished from the landscape last year.  It's one of the better pop culture-oriented sites around, so stop by and tell 'em I sent you!
